BBC Radio 3 will record a special Music Education edition of their flagship programme Music Matters at MusicLearningLive!2009. The programme will be recorded on Thursday 5 March 'as live', for broadcast on Saturday 7 March.

The virtuoso percussionists O Duo (Oliver Cox and Owen Gunnell) will give a concert on Thursday, 5 March at MusicLearningLive!2009.  They will be leading a percussion session for delegates earlier in the day.

Formed in 2000, over the last year O Duo has released their first commercial CD on the Sony BMG label to critical acclaim, won a Special Commissioning Award from the Borletti-Buitoni Trust and been appointed Artistic Directors of the Children’s Classic Concerts series in Scotland.  They have given concerts in the Harare and Mexico City Festivals and in France, Spain, Switzerland and Bulgaria.  They performed at this year's BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.

O Duo has performed concertos with the BBC Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestras, worked at Abbey Road and Sony studios on television and film scores and broadcast on BBC Radio 2 & 3, Classic FM, Channel 4 and BBC TV.
